As many of you know, the ABC television show Grey's Anatomy featured a story involving a PH patient on February 5, 2009. Although the show wasn't a perfect representation of the PH diagnosis experience it's generated lots of interest and enthusiasm, so we'd like to let ABC and Grey's Anatomy know just how much we appreciate that they've raised awareness of PH in their own way.

Dear ABC and Grey's Anatomy,
Thank you for including the rare disease pulmonary hypertension (PH) in your episode of Grey's Anatomy on February 5, 2009 (Season 5, Episode 14). PH is a little known disease that affects up to 100,000 people in the United States, but only 20,000 to 30,000 receive treatment. As a PH PATIENT / PH CAREGIVER / FAMILY MEMBER OF A PH PATIENT / FRIEND OF THE PH COMMUNITY / MEDICAL PROVIDER TO A PH PATIENT, I'd like to thank ABC and the cast and crew of Grey's Anatomy for raising awareness of this rare, deadly disease.
