Google translate.

Hehe. Google translate er ikke akkurat et perfekt verktøy. Hvis du vil ha deg en god latter så er det bare å oversette til engelsk i menyen til venstre.(hvis du har like dårlig humor som meg, da, heeh) Jeg håper at verktøyet er bra nok( good enough) til at det går å forstår det meste av det jeg skriver.

Google translate is not exactly a perfect translate tool. I tried it, and it gave me a good laugh. Some of the translated sentences makes absolutely no sense at all, but hopefully you understand most of it. The Norwegian word "nok" seems to be translated by google into "NOK" every time; the Norwegian currency. The Norwegian word "nok" should be translated into one of these words; enough, sufficient or plenty, or it should not be translated at all, as it serves as an adverb. Adverbs used in Norwegian language aren't always used in English. This is of course very difficult for a translate tool to pick up on.. Since google does this error, every sentence containing the word "nok" makes little sense to the reader.. I'll give you an example: "Uansett hva som skjer så skal jeg nok klare de ukene hun er borte i alle fall.."(from my latest post) Translated by google into: "Whatever happens I will NOK clear the weeks she's gone in any case .."The correct translation should be: " In any case; whatever happens I will manage the weeks she is gone,"(Even that is not a good translation, but I believe that it is as good as it gets as a direct translation. I don't even know if it is a good Norwegian sentence in the first place, hehe) Anyway. "nok" is in this sentence underlining the Norwegian verb "klare"(manage): "...jeg skal nok klare..." = "...I will manage.. ". I don't know if you even have an adverb similar to this Norwegian word at all. Phu, I hope I got it right.. Been years since I had grammar at school... Please anyone: correct me if I'm wrong..

Felt like explaining this odd word "nok" that turns up everywhere in these translations..So you know what it's all about... I hope it didn't make you more confused, hehe..

Sure, they know nok what you mean :D
Prøvde den litt sjøl i går og enkelte setninger fikk den faktisk til. Man e jo meint å hjelpe til med å poste korrekte oversettinge sånn at det blir bedre etterhvert, jo. Dersom det ikke e ALTFOR lenge siden man hadde grammatikk da, hmmm.

Siv you gave me a good laugh. I knew that google translate did the best it could - I never had a problem. I read what I could and prayed so I could understand the posts. You did good.

Beautiful doggie. Simply georgous. Love Deb.
